Better Lives with Care.Wallet: Asia-Pacific Ready for Telemedicine

Bain & Company’s Asia-Pacific Front Line of Healthcare Report 2020 shows that the Asia-Pacific region is in need of, and extraordinarily receptive to, telemedicine.

72% of healthcare consumers feel that hospital wait times take too long; 62% find healthcare too expensive, and over 90% would use digital health services if cost was not a limiting factor.

Physicians are also feeling the strain. Nearly 50% believe that it will be more difficult to deliver high-quality care in the future using current practices and tools, with 80% supporting a shift in the delivery of non-emergency healthcare services to venues outside of hospitals, including virtual ones like those found on healthcare apps.

On top of that, Asia-Pacific is aging fast. The region makes up for 60% of the global growth in the 65-year-old and above age group. An older population is more in need of a system that respects the precept “prevention is better than cure.”

The Asia-Pacific region is ready to embrace telemedicine, and Solve.Care’s Global Telehealth Exchange is ready to meet the digital health services needs of both the region and the entire world. The GTHE facilitates greater access to healthcare by bringing together patients and professional care providers, while eliminating transportation requirements and scheduling delays. Administrative costs, where and if they apply, are substantially reduced. Thanks to the Global Telehealth Exchange, preventative care will no longer involve being made to wait a whole afternoon for an inordinately expensive consultation at the clinic or hospital.

Solve.Care puts health management quite literally in the palm of your hand.
